Today I spent about an hour and fifteen minutes beginning to get my bearings on "Für Elise" by Beethoven. I started out a little rocky, however, after taking some time and working on both hands individually, I was able to get the beginning of it down pretty good. Here I am uploading a video of how far I was able to get today. I did not have anybody to video tape for me so it is just audio, however, any constructive criticism would still be greatly appreciated.
I'm not an expert on piano, but I have played a few other instruments. My recommendation would be to try to slow everything down to a consistent pace (the easiest way is to use a metronome) and try to keep everything in rhythm. Then, gradually speed everything up as you practice more. It should help you in the long run by keeping you in rhythm when you try to play at full speed in the future.
ReplyDeleteYou sound awesome! Thanks so much for posting a video (audio!). I would agree with Mike. Start at a slower tempo where you feel confident and don't have to pause between sections/measures. Great advice, Mike!
